February 1st 2010 marks a monumental moment for Western Canada's modern dance music community.  Danksoul Recordings will be joining the ranks with the worlds most forward thinking techno and house record labels with their first vinyl release entitled Inkwell "Kneesocks". 

Longtime supporters of the Soundwave Music Festival as performers and participants, the Danksoul crew would like to invite friends old and new to join in the celebration as they go on tour to support the release of their first vinyl record.  Tour dates for Western Canada are as follows:

Inkwell's "Kneesocks" the first release from the the western Canadian Danksoul imprint is a genre defying lesson in the art of the groove.  The title track is a housed out dance floor churner sharing elements from the past, present and future all perfectly melded together with a drum beat that speaks to the soul.  Canadian west coast legend Hrdvsion provides an awe-inspiring remix of "Kneesocks" that brings a tear to your eye with emotronic melodic progressions riding perfectly on a bed of punchy attitude filled beats.  Inkwell rounds off the Ep with a deep thinker titled "Kozeark" that will tickle the dankest spots in your mind while keeping things simple and focusing once again on that all important groove.
